Objectives

To assist students and research scholars in incorporating gender related inputs in their research,
To take on teaching for courses in women’s studies at different levels,
To initiate and make available translation of basic reading materials into Urdu and Hindi,
To undertake research on various gender specific issues,
To create awareness on gender and women’s issues in the university and the communities around it,
To develop an understanding of issues of women belonging to minority communities and to work for their empowerment.
