Nanotechnology has emerged as the science of enormous potential having relevance in almost all fields of scientific application and is also being used to significantly improve the performance of existing devices. Keeping pace with the contemporary advancements in science, we have established Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology to further the research activities in the field of nanotechnology. It will be the goal of the centre to encourage forefront fundamental and practical research in the domain of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology with prospective applications towards fulfilling national strategic requirements. This mission fuels us with the aspiration to take our university to newer heights by creating an atmosphere of parallel learning experience enriched with freedom of thoughts as well as cutting edge research opportunities.

The centre has been equipped with almost all the essential facilities required to pursue its goals. We plan to expand the research activities of the centre in multiple disciplines including biological sciences, chemical sciences, biotechnology, etc. Considering the unique position of the university and the amenities, the research facilities of the centre are opened to both inter- and intra-university researchers and invite them to utilize these facilities and contribute in the direction of the betterment of the society. I wish great success to the centre and strive to make it one of the premier centres of excellence in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology at national as well as at international level.
